Test Engineer – HiL & RF Systems - Berlin · AUG Contract · 18 Months (with possible extension) · 60% Home Office · Up to €95,000pa

We are recruiting a Test Engineer with a hardware-first background for a leading technology company in Berlin. This is a hands‑on role embedded within a team developing avionics radio products, not a classic software testing position.

The right candidate will be equally comfortable writing test automation code and picking up a oscilloscope to physically fault‑find on RF hardware. If you have a background in Nachrichtentechnik, embedded systems, or hardware‑near test engineering and you've kept pace with modern CI/CD tooling, this role is worth your attention.

The role involves:

• Building and operating HiL test environments for avionics radio components
• Developing test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD)
• Integrating hardware and software components in close coordination with development teams
• Root‑cause analysis across hardware and software failure modes
• Automating RF measurement instruments (oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, signal generators)

Mandatory requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering or equivalent
• Hands‑on experience with hardware‑near software development and testing — microcontrollers, SoC, RF/radio systems
• Solid CI/CD experience (GitLab) and container technologies (Docker/Podman)
• C/C++ with CMake — able to write and review test code, not just execute scripts
• Linux and Git in a professional engineering environment
• German C1 and English — both required

• Up to €95,000pa depending on experience
• Berlin — up to 60% home office
