Track Builder

The starting net salary is €1,800 per month, based on the German collective wage agreement for the construction industry. You will receive 30 days of vacation, additional vacation pay, a pension plan, and other appropriate remuneration.

Responsibilities

• Support teams in the production of gapless track.
• Loosen rail fasteners and re-tension them properly.
• Assist welding colleagues in preparing welding tasks.
• Work within a team of five colleagues.

Working Hours & Schedule

Work hours are determined by railroad operation specifications, with frequent night and weekend shifts, especially during the season from March onwards. Most colleagues work six to eight continuous weeks and then take about ten days off. During January and February, a short‑time allowance of roughly 60 % of your last pay is provided.

Requirements

• Valid car driver’s license (no additional welding or technical training required).
