Are you ready to play a key role in supporting international commodity trading by ensuring efficient and reliable trade finance operations? We are looking for a Trade Finance Manager (d/f/m) to join our Trade Finance team at our Hamburg headquarters .
In this role, you will manage and coordinate a wide range of trade finance activities, working closely with traders, operations, finance, banks, insurers, and external counterparties to facilitate the successful execution of international transactions. You will help ensure that financing structures, documentary requirements, and payment processes are handled accurately and efficiently while supporting the company's commercial activities.
Based in our Hamburg main office, you will report directly to the Head of Trade Finance and become part of a small, collaborative team of four to five professionals , where teamwork, ownership, and a hands-on approach are highly valued. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic international trading environment, contribute to process improvements, and further develop your expertise in trade finance.

Your Role & Responsibilities
- Handling the trade finance aspect of our deals through our financing banks
- Deal presentation to the banks and communication thereof
- Position keeping & reconciliation with banks
- Contributing to the initiation and review of credit facilities
- Daily communication with Operations, Treasury, Traders and Accounting
- Checking contractual payment terms and deal details with internal counterparties
- Drafting LC/SBLC wordings and handling their negotiations with suppliers & buyers
- Making sure payment and/or LC/SBLC issuances are arranged within contractual deadlines
- Following up on storage financings and giving releases as due
- Presenting complying documents to the banks for payment under export LCs
- Calculating finance cost
- Training junior members of the team.
Your Qualifications
- University graduate in relevant field, master's degree preferred
- Minimum 8-10 year of experience in banking and trade finance
- Good reputation & track record working with Trade Finance banks
- Strong knowledge of payment terms in trade finance and familiarity with Incoterms
- Experience in banking products such as LCs, SBLCs, swift payments etc
- Excellent interpersonal skills – problem solver, decision taker and a strong sense of organization / optimization
- Fluency in English (spoken/Written) – working language will be English; speaking French and/or German is a plus
- Fluency in basic IT tools.
