Join our Kent-wide Bladder, Bowel and Pelvic Health Service and become part of a specialist multidisciplinary team including Continence Nurses, Pelvic Health Physiotherapists and Assistant Practitioners. We provide expert assessment, treatment and support for people living with bladder, bowel and pelvic health conditions across Ashford, Canterbury and Coastal, South Kent Coast, Thanet and West Kent.

This is an exciting developmental opportunity for a registered nurse looking to build a career in a highly specialised field. Working closely with an experienced Specialist Continence Nurse, you will receive structured training and support to develop advanced knowledge and skills in the assessment, treatment and management of complex bladder and bowel conditions. Through a personalised development plan, you will gain experience in holistic assessment, care planning, patient education, medicines management and supporting people to self-manage long‑term conditions. Following successful completion of competencies, you will progress to work at Band 6 level within the service.

No two days are the same in this rewarding role. You'll support patients through face‑to‑face and virtual consultations, helping them improve their quality of life through personalised continence care. Working under the guidance of our Specialist Continence Nurses and Physiotherapists, you’ll contribute to holistic assessments, develop person‑centred care plans, provide education and advice, and support the management of a wide range of bladder, bowel and pelvic health conditions.

You will build strong relationships with patients, carers and healthcare professionals across Kent, empowering people to manage lifelong conditions with confidence. As part of a county‑wide specialist service, you’ll work alongside colleagues across multiple locations, gaining exposure to a diverse caseload and developing expertise in a growing specialist area of practice. This role offers a clear pathway for professional growth, with comprehensive training, mentorship and the opportunity to progress to independent specialist practice.

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is due to integrate with Medway Community Healthcare on 1 October 2026.
