Transportation Audit & Compliance Specialist, Transportation Risk and Compliance (TRC)

Overview

Amazons Transportation Risk and Compliance (TRC) team values talented, customer‑centric people who can drive compliance and reduce risks. We are looking for an organized self‑starter to act as an Audit & Compliance Specialist to assess carrier compliance against contractual and legal requirements and to foster a compliance culture internally and externally. The position is based in an Amazon corporate office and may require occasional travel.

About the Team

TRC’s mission is to empower Amazon’s transportation business and its partners to do the right thing for the community. Through compliance monitoring and risk management activities, we provide leaders with data to make informed decisions.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Audit carriers to verify compliant operation with contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Provide precise audit reports to carriers and internal teams with actionable short/mid/long‑term corrective actions.
• Semi‑automate audit workstreams using AI, Python, SQL, and other tools.
• Launch new audit workstreams in line with business and legal demands.
• Lead and/or participate in special projects as necessary.

A Day in the Life

• Conduct and/or manage audits with teams such as Global Solutions Risk and Compliance, Legal, and Carrier Operations.
• Deliver audit reports that include compliance‑driving recommendations.
• Attend stakeholder meetings to promote a compliance culture.
• Support carriers with compliance questions or doubts.
• Automate audit workstreams to improve speed and quality.
• Dive into new transportation programs and launch associated audit workstreams.

Basic Qualifications

• Effective cross‑functional teamwork and partnership across all organizational levels.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or relevant industry experience.
• Fluency in English and Bulgarian (speaking, writing, reading).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in risk/fraud analysis or compliance organizations.
• Fluency in Lithuanian, and/or Czech.

Qualifications and Skills

Technical skills in Python, SQL, VBA, AI agents and workflows are desirable, along with audit or compliance experience (preferably in transportation). Candidates should possess a data/tech‑driven mindset, excellent attention to detail, strong soft skills for building trustworthy relationships, and a spirit of teamwork and autonomy.
