ChessKid is the world’s leading chess platform for children, serving as the scholastic extension of Chess.com. The platform provides a fun, educational, and safe environment for kids to learn and play chess, aiming to grow the game globally.

Задачи

• Design simple, clear, and fun interactions for web and mobile platforms
• Convert mobile designs to web experiences and vice versa
• Own projects from concept through implementation to ensure design-to-code alignment
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to define problems and ship solutions
• Create flows, wireframes, and prototypes to communicate ideas
• Contribute to the design system to support scalable and cohesive experiences
• Present work and explain design decisions based on user needs, product context, and data
• Iterate designs based on feedback, product goals, user insights, and UX research
• Provide and receive thoughtful design feedback

Требования

• 3+ Years of experience in product design for consumer-facing products or games
• Portfolio demonstrating strong UX thinking, high-quality UI, and design process
• Experience working with, contributing to, and scaling design systems, including tokens and pattern libraries
• B2B or enterprise product design experience, specifically for teachers, school districts, or institutional users
• Solid understanding of typography, layout, hierarchy, and interaction design
• Attention to detail regarding styling, error handling, hover states, and responsive behavior
• Proficiency with Figma and AI-assisted design tools like Figma Make, Cursor, or Claude Code
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for a remote, distributed team
• Understanding of chess without needing to be an expert
• Nice to have: Interest in chess, familiarity with kids gaming and ed-tech platforms, experience with direct-to-consumer and enterprise software, experience designing complex or data-rich products, frontend or design engineering experience, experience with accessibility and inclusive design practices
