Validation Engineer (f/m/d)

In this role you validate analog, digital, mixed-signal and power-management ICs to ensure they meet electrical, functional and performance specs. You will define validation strategies, build test setups, and collaborate across Design, Applications, Firmware, Product Engineering and Quality to resolve silicon and system issues. The position involves developing automated validation workflows, analyzing data, and delivering progress updates within a fast-paced NPI environment. You will contribute to improving validation quality, automation and time-to-market, while shaping silicon evaluation at the Germering site.

• Validate analog, digital, mixed-signal and power-management ICs against specifications
• Define validation methodologies and validation plans ensuring feature coverage
• Develop and optimize lab test setups for silicon evaluation
• Design custom evaluation boards and hardware for characterization
• Create automated validation frameworks and Python scripts
• Perform data acquisition, statistical analysis, and prepare technical reports
• Evaluate silicon at device, board and system level and track issues
• Generate validation reports and provide project status updates to milestones
• Proactively track activities, manage risks and drive issue resolution
• Collaborate with Design, Applications, Firmware, Product Engineering and Quality teams to resolve bugs
• Drive continuous improvement of validation methodologies and automation
• Contribute ideas to enhance validation quality and time-to-market

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Hands-on bench validation and debugging of mixed-signal or PMICs
• Strong lab skills with oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, source meters, DMMs, waveform generators, logic analyzers, thermal equipment
• Proficiency in Python for lab automation
• Knowledge of power management applications in consumer electronics
• Board-level analog/digital circuit design for PCB schematics
• Strong analytical and debugging abilities
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage priorities under tight schedules
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration
• Experience with NPI activities from first silicon to production
