Value Advisor Director (f/m/d)

Overview

The Value Advisory Team helps SAP customers transform their businesses by developing the rationale for technology investments through a standardized service model and delivering Value Sales activities at scale. The Value Advisor identifies and positions qualitative and quantitative value with the customer to support sustainable consumption, adoption, and up- and cross-sell potential.

Responsibilities

  • Value Discovery & Case for Change: Create a transformation approach for cloud, suite, AI and data platform discussions based on value for the customer.
  • Design SAP Value Proposition: Determine qualitative and quantitative value for the customer transformation project (e.g., Business Case, Executive Value Proposition).
  • Lead and deliver CxO Workshops: Plan and conduct workshops as part of transformation initiatives (e.g., AI use cases and their value).
  • Support Customer Lifetime Value: Services to secure the projected value (Value Realization), update the Business Case, and ensure adoption and consumption.
  • Typical Deliverables: Business Case, Point of View, Benchmarking, TCO-Assessment, Enterprise Value Scorecard, Value Assurance / Adoption & Consumption Services.
  • Develop Value Advisory: Develop new services, frameworks and deliverables to advance Value Advisory in the industry or cross-industry.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a senior role (e.g., Project Leader/Principal at top-tier strategy consulting, Senior Value Advisor/Value Engineer at hyperscalers or SaaS leaders, or similar transformation/strategy roles with regular C-level exposure).
  • Proven industry experience in at least one focus sector (services companies, airlines, transportation & logistics) with understanding of value drivers, business models and regulatory frameworks; strong network in consulting, partner or hyperscaler/SaaS environments is a plus.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams on multi-month engagements; conceptual knowledge in at least two domains: Cloud Transformation, Data & AI, IT Strategy & Operating Model, Enterprise Architecture.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills including financial modeling; ability to derive business insights and recommendations from financial data (Business Cases, TCO/ROI models, benefit quantification at executive level).
  • Hypothesis-driven work style with strong synthesis and storytelling skills; ability to compress complex topics into consistent, CxO-ready narratives and presentations.
  • Proven experience in program management, facilitation and stakeholder management in complex transformation or deal situations, with demonstrated ownership in shaping strategic initiatives (Deal Shaping, Opportunity Leadership).
  • CxO credibility; experience as a sparring partner at top management level for transformation and investment decisions; comfort in fast-paced, deadline-driven client environments.
  • Solid understanding of complex enterprise architectures and application landscapes; knowledge of SAP, hyperscaler, or SaaS platforms is a plus; crucial is the ability to quickly learn new technological contexts and align them with business requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on audience-appropriate messaging up to executive/board level.
  • Fluent German and English (written and spoken).
  • Strong Master/MBA from a leading university in business administration, information systems, engineering, or related fields; MBA or PhD is a plus.
