Tasks

The Role:

We are looking for a seasoned, full‑time Investment Manager to join our team who is keen to shape the future of tech‑driven companies. You will play a crucial role in expanding Vorwerk Ventures' influence within the tech investing ecosystem by identifying, evaluating, and nurturing high‑potential startups.

The Responsibilities:

• Taking end‑to‑end responsibility of the investment cycle from target identification, sourcing, due diligence, transaction structuring, securing investment committee approval and portfolio management to divestments.
• Shaping investment theses, providing market intelligence, independently identifying and approaching investment opportunities through personal network as well as desktop research.
• Actively taking part in the investment decision process and participating in board meetings.
• Cultivate a robust network of stakeholders, including at industry events across Europe.

Requirements

What do you bring:

• 4-7 years of experience in investment roles like angel investing, Venture Capital or tech M&A
• Strong academic record (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree) in Engineering, Technology, Business or Science is strongly preferred
• Demonstrable interest in technology/digitization, investments and start‑ups/scale ups
• An early track record in early‑stage deal‑making with a keen eye for evaluating company potential through financial and strategic lenses
• An established network within the European startup and investment community
• Strong analytical commercial and financial modelling skills
• Highly organized and structured with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines
• Strong creative and conceptual skills – proven ability to generate deal ideas
• Team player, ability to develop relationships – motivated, energetic, and driven
• Career drive – someone ambitious who wants to make a career in VC/PE
• Fluent English and German and exceptional communication skills, with the flexibility to travel across Europe.
