VMware Infrastructure Engineer

For one of our globally leading tech clients we are urgently looking for an experienced VMware Infrastructure Engineer for a long contract based in Berlin, Germany.

• Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of networking, computer hardware, and critical infrastructure.
• VMware Administration of physical and virtual servers (installation, patching, upgrades, troubleshooting).
• Coordinate hardware maintenance and coordinate with OEM vendors and onsite Smart Hands teams.
• Overall Management of Datacenter Management
• Monitor server health and support Disaster Recovery (DR) and High Availability (HA) configurations.
• VMWARE High Availability & Disaster Recovery : Configure HA (High Availability) / DRS (Distributed Resource Scheduler), Support Disaster Recovery solutions & VM backup and restoration
• VMWare Patching & Upgrades : Patch ESXi hosts & Upgrade vCenter and VMware components.
• Windows Administrator
• Linux : Red hat Satellite, Ansible,
• Ensure platform adherence to compliance, policy, risk, and operational governance standards.
• Administer, automate, and optimize enterprise operations through automation, migration, governance, and cost optimization.
• Design automation workflows, API integrations, and rule-based orchestration for operational efficiency.
• Implement data, license, and risk workflows using governance and compliance platforms.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Operations teams to streamline processes and eliminate manual effort.
• Own reporting automation, dashboards, inventory updates, and audit readiness.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and assist in audits
