W2-Professorship of Business Psychology, with a specialization in Work and Health Psychology

Position

W2‑Professorship of Business Psychology – specialization in Work and Health Psychology. Campus Lemgo. Permanent, full‑time.

Responsibilities

• Teach in the Bachelor’s and, prospectively, in the Master’s programmes in Business Psychology.
• Conduct courses in applied psychology in the field of Work and Health Psychology (e.g., “Work and Health Psychology”, “Occupational Health Management”) and basic psychological and methodological courses (e.g., “Applied Project in Business Psychology”, “Advanced Multivariate Statistics”).
• Supervise Bachelor’s and Master’s students in seminar papers and theses.
• Deliver courses on campus – up to 25% may be provided digitally.
• Conduct research in work and health psychology, ideally related to digital transformation or sustainable business practices.
• Seek cooperation with stakeholders, secure third‑party funding, and promote interdisciplinary study formats and practical student projects.
• Contribute to faculty internal committee work and develop international collaborations.
• Build up the Master’s degree programme in Business Psychology.

Qualifications

• Completed university degree in psychology, business psychology or a closely related discipline.
• Successfully completed a relevant doctorate.
• At least five years of professional experience (ideally at least three outside academia) in workplace health management, occupational health and safety, psychological activities in health care, human‑technology interaction or human resource management.
• Conducted research and published beyond the doctorate within a professorship, junior professorship or habilitation.
• University teaching experience.
• Strong quantitative research skills.
• Ability to teach in both German and English.
• Commitment to interdisciplinary integration within business psychology, business administration, economics and engineering.
