Wildland and Urban Intervention Specialist (Fully Remote)

• We are seeking a self-driven Wildland and Urban Intervention Specialist to provide strategic support for operational land management and defensible space decision‑making.
• You will work with the Resilience Group and across the organization to integrate field knowledge into our software.
• This is a virtual role with travel (1-2 trips per month) to field locations across the continental US.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct remote forest resource assessments and develop key metrics for evaluating vegetation management alternatives.
• Utilize GIS and GPS software to produce high‑level analysis and reports for integration into workflows.
• Support preparation of landscape‑specific Technical Reports and validate treatment data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Forestry or related field with 5+ years of field experience, or equivalent combination (8 years).
• Expertise in vegetation, fuels, and defensible space treatment methods.
• Experience with forest inventory, GIS, and forest product markets.
