Wind Energy Engineer - Specialist in Load Simulation for Onshore and Offshore Turbines (f/m/d) 1

In this role you assess wind turbine load assumptions (onshore and offshore) against international standards using aeroelastic calculations. You will evaluate maritime conditions for fixed and floating offshore structures and document results in expert opinions. You’ll collaborate with customer specialists on national and international projects and represent TÜV SÜD externally. You will also contribute to advancing the simulation environment and uphold our safety-focused, globally connected ethos.

• Review load assumptions for wind turbines (onshore/offshore) per international standards using independent aeroelastic calculations
• Evaluate maritime environmental conditions and calculations for offshore structures (fixed and floating)
• Document evaluation results and prepare reports/expert opinions
• Collaborate with customer specialists in national/international projects
• Represent TÜV SÜD at trade fairs and in standards committees/work groups
• Independently improve and develop the simulation environment

• Completed engineering degree (Master’s or Diploma) in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, or comparable field
• Relevant professional experience in load calculations for onshore/offshore wind energy systems
• Practical aeroelastic simulation experience with Bladed, FAST, HAWC2, or Flex5
• Familiarity with relevant onshore/offshore certification guidelines
• Customer-oriented working style, strong communication and teamwork, ability to assert technical viewpoints with clients
• Fluent in German and English with strong negotiation skills
