We are seeking a **Workers Compensation Claims Examiner** for the NY jurisdiction with subrogation experience and NY licensing. This position focuses on analyzing and processing Lost‑Time Workers Compensation claims, determining benefits due, and managing settlement negotiations within authorized limits.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and process claims through well‑developed action plans to achieve timely resolution.
• Investigate and gather information to ascertain claim exposure.
• Negotiate settlement of claims within designated authority.
• Communicate claim activity and processing with claimants and clients.
• Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to requests for directions professionally and promptly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of claims management experience (or equivalent education and experience).
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred.
• NY jurisdiction knowledge and NY licensing required.
• Subrogation experience required.

Location & Work Environment

Hybrid if within commutable distance to the Syracuse, NY office; otherwise remote.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting salary range: $80,000 – $90,000.
