Accountant with a focus on Accounts Receivable – GoodWe

We are seeking an experienced Accountant with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing accounts receivable accounting while providing support across other accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, and regulatory reporting. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently. Your main responsibilities

Accounts Receivable Accounting: Primary responsibility for managing and maintaining all aspects of accounts receivable, including processing invoices, tracking payments, and ensuring accurate reporting.
Accounts Payable Support: Assist in accounts payable processes, stepping in as needed to maintain workflow and meet deadlines.
Regulatory Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of regulatory reports, including VAT pre-declarations, summary reports, reports to the German Federal Bank, and Intrastat declarations.
Account Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations, focusing on open items in accounts receivable and received advance payments.
Financial Close Participation: Engage in the month-end and year-end financial closing activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Chinese headquarters and external tax advisors to address and resolve accounting-related matters.

Your Profile

Educational certificate in accounting or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in commercial accounting.
A seasoned professional who has specialized in assisting with tax-related work, such as preparing VAT returns, and providing support in VAT planning and compliance.
Advanced proficiency and expertise in MS Office, particularly Excel, and knowledge of DATEV accounting software a plus.
Strong communication skills in both English (C1) and German (C2/native), written and spoken.
Attributes: Strong numerical aptitude and analytical thinking.
Highly organized with an independent, structured approach to work.
Ability to work effectively both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
