    This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Imagine360. We are currently looking for an Accounting Lead in United States.

    We are seeking an Accounting Lead to take ownership of core accounting operations within a fast-growing SaaS organization. This role combines hands-on execution with team leadership, overseeing daily accounting tasks while guiding and mentoring junior staff. You will ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency across financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, and financial reporting. Partnering closely with senior finance leadership, you will contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements, ensuring financial integrity and operational excellence. The ideal candidate thrives in a remote-first, dynamic environment and has a proven track record in SaaS accounting.

    Accountabilities:

    • Perform and oversee daily accounting functions, including general ledger reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries in compliance with US GAAP.
    • Manage full-cycle accounts receivable and accounts payable operations, maintaining accurate cash flow and strong vendor/customer relationships.
    • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy through personal execution and oversight of team members.
    • Lead month-end and year-end close processes while actively performing critical closing tasks.
    • Coordinate with external auditors, providing documentation and timely responses to inquiries.
    • Ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, including contract review and journal entry preparation.
    • Develop and refine financial policies, procedures, and internal controls for practical, day-to-day use.
    • Partner with finance leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
    • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, mentoring and coaching them while collaborating on deliverables.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred).
    • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2+ years in a senior or lead accounting role.
    • Experience in SaaS accounting required; private equity-backed company experience preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of revenue recognition principles as they relate to SaaS organizations.
    • Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite highly preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
    • Strong understanding and application of US GAAP in day-to-day accounting activities.
    • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
    • Demonstrated ability to work hands-on in both accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
