Position Overview

We are looking for a full‑time, tech‑savvy Accounting Manager in Munich to establish internal financial and accounting processes and ensure proper bookkeeping. You will be focused on daily operational tasks as well as other exciting global projects.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing of financial books
• Review documentation and ensure bookkeeping
• Bank reconciliation
• Monthly adjusting journal entries
• AR Aging management
• Financial statement reporting
• Serve as POC for an external accounting firm
• Organize and provide documentation (e.g., invoices, tax notices, etc.)
• Communicate major accounting or tax positions
• Review all work products (e.g., periodical VAT returns, yearly tax filings, etc.)
• Treasury responsibilities
• Prepare payments to vendors
• Monitor cash flow

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or similar
• Minimum 5 years of accounting and/or finance experience
• Ability to work independently on monthly accounting cycle
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Germany & English language fluency
• Knowledge of German GAAP
• Experience with ADDISON or other accounting software

Plus if you have

• Prior experience in public accounting
• Experience in software industry or multinational company
• CPA or German equivalent (WP)
