Field of activity

The Server Management division is responsible for server-related services within the DRV Joint Computing Center. We collect and plan the requirements of the German Pension Insurance institutions and provide operating systems and virtualization solutions for our customers on various geo-redundant and standardized platforms. To this end, we specialize in providing and operating VMware, Red Hat Open Shift, Oracle Linux KVM and Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Linux and Microsoft Windows Server on the operating system side for our customers in the virtualization environment.

Your tasks

Coordinate and perform the following tasks with a focus on Microsoft Windows Server operating systems, Windows Terminal Server technology (Remote Desktop Sessio

• Contributing to the creation of standards and guidelines for DRV Bund-IT
• Creating IT-related analyses, developing and implementing concepts and IT systems of medium complexity as well as coordinating, planning and implementing IT processes
• Monitoring and controlling IT processes, problem analysis and troubleshooting of medium complexity
• Planning, conceptualizing and documenting IT operating procedures and processing customer requirements
• Implementing and monitoring IT security and IT quality assurance measures
• Preparing and carrying out instruction measures and participating in project or working groups and committees (also across institutions)

There is a need to participate in on-call duties at weekends and on public holidays
The position requires the willingness to occasionally travel between Berlin and Würzburg.

Your profile

• Successfully completed higher education (Bachelor or Diploma FH) in the IT field or comparable qualification (e.g. IT-specific qualification) or completed vocational training in the IT field or comparable several years of practical experience in the IT field
• Several years of task-relevant professional experience in IT with regard to transition and administration with a focus on Dealing with Microsoft Windows Server operating systems, Windows Terminal Server technology (Remote Desktop Session Host and RDS Deployment), Windows Update Service (WSUS) and Microsoft Key Management Service (KMS)
• Experience in PowerShell scripts with a medium level of difficulty
• Ideally knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Cloud services
• Experience in the creation of design concepts in Confluence is an advantage
• Business fluent in German
