About the role

Independent leader of new assay development and/or method improvement projects on automated immunoassay products. Lead complex research, evaluation, analysis, and planning across multiple projects. Provide technical leadership from concept to transfer to routine manufacturing and launch.

This position is fixed-term for 24 months and can be located in Marburg (Germany) or Llanberis (United Kingdom). Only CVs in English are accepted.

Your tasks and responsibilities

Lead interdisciplinary Element Team/Design Change/Design Transfer meetings and represent R&D at Core Team meetings, ensuring timely processing of assigned tasks.
Communicate and coordinate project requirements (resources and budget) and report them to the project team.
Plan, communicate and implement the project schedule and define measures to avoid delays. Provide technical management of the technical staff assigned to the core team.
Guide technical R&D staff in developing analytical verification protocols for new applications, new assay developments, or lifecycle improvement projects.
Lead investigations and support colleagues with technical questions, even outside the team.

Your qualifications and experience

University degree in Biological Sciences or related field; a PhD is desirable.
Many years of professional experience in Life Sciences, Medical Devices, or Diagnostics (preferred) or relevant transferable experience.
Expert knowledge of analyzers, reagents, and development processes.
