    We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Associate Engineering Manager to lead a distributed team of engineers focused on Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions. In this role, you will guide your team to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions while fostering professional growth and effective cross-team collaboration. You will balance technical execution, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement to ensure consistent delivery aligned with organizational objectives. This position offers the opportunity to influence engineering practices, optimize delivery workflows, and contribute to broader organizational strategy in a remote-first environment. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader, experienced in managing software teams, and comfortable working across time zones while supporting both technical and career development initiatives.

    Accountabilities:

    • Lead and support a distributed team of engineers, building trust, guiding professional growth, and fostering a collaborative team culture.
    • Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to align team deliverables with organizational priorities and IAM initiatives.
    • Plan, track, and optimize delivery processes to ensure high-quality, reliable output while balancing innovation, experimentation, and technical debt.
    • Conduct regular 1:1s and team check-ins to understand career goals, motivations, and challenges.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for engineering stakeholders, shielding the team from distractions while enabling productive engagement.
    • Hire and onboard team members as appropriate, supporting growth and development.
    • Implement systems thinking to improve processes, developer experience, and cross-team collaboration.
    • Contribute to engineering management initiatives, sharing insights and supporting company-wide improvements.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience managing or leading software engineering teams, preferably in distributed or remote environments.
    • Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems or related technical domains.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and coach team members, fostering professional growth and engagement.
    • Skilled in planning, tracking, and optimizing software delivery processes.
    • Experience collaborating with Product Management and stakeholders to align team execution with organizational goals.
    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams and time zones.
    • Ability to balance technical guidance, team mentoring, and process improvement with hands-on leadership.
    • Familiarity with remote-first work environments, agile development, and software development best practices.
