Business Development Director – DACH (m/f/d)

Who are you?

  • 7-10 years of B2B business development / enterprise sales in SaaS, IoT or construction tech.
  • Proven record closing complex, multi‑stakeholder deals and growing enterprise accounts.
  • Deep knowledge of the DACH construction / heavy equipment market; experience with rental companies or contractors is a plus.
  • Strategic mindset, strong analytics, executive presence.
  • Comfortable operating in high‑growth, international, purpose‑driven company.
  • Salesforce experience for structured pipeline and account planning.
  • Fluency in German.

Primary responsibilities

  • Lead DACH go‑to‑market strategy aligned with global goals.
  • Identify new growth segments, strategic partnerships, rental opportunities.
  • Map market, analyze opportunities in construction technology and related ecosystems.
  • Drive complex deal cycles from discovery to contract negotiation, targeting fleet owners, rental companies, enterprise accounts.
  • Manage high‑value accounts, influence procurement decisions.
  • Develop account penetration strategies and multi‑stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Deliver quota and commercial objectives.
  • Forge commercial alliances & integration partnerships; represent Trackunit at industry events, consortia, innovation forums.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Customer Success, Marketing, Strategy teams; tailor propositions, translate feedback into product insights.
  • Partner with Customer Success to ensure onboarding, value delivery, expansion.
  • Implement structured pipeline reviews, forecasting, performance management using CRM and sales analytics.

Hiring process

  • Virtual meet & greet with Vice President of Commercial EMEA.
  • Personality interview – online assessment using Hogan.
  • Last interview with relevant Trackunit colleagues.
  • Offer presentation and walk‑through.
