Chief Accountant

Chief Accountant – Avon

We’re looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to own financial reporting and compliance for Avon’s Commercial Markets in Germany. Your work will build trust and confidence in our financial results, enabling our leaders to make informed decisions.

What you’ll be doing

• Monthly and annual financial and tax reporting, including statutory filings and US GAAP adjustments
• Leading the internal and external statutory audit process and managing relationships with external providers
• Ensuring compliance with SOX controls and internal procedures
• Collaborating with global teams to improve processes and share best practices
• Monitoring regulatory changes and implementing them into Avon’s operations
• Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and financial variances
• Driving continuous improvement and knowledge development across the finance function

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 4 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a multinational company
• Degree in Tax and Accounting, along with a professional accounting certification
• Strong knowledge of HGB, IFRS and US GAAP standards
• Excellent German and English communication skills (written and spoken)
• Ability to stay organized and meet tight deadlines
• Curiosity, learning agility, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving
• Comfort working in a multicultural environment
