Civil Engineer / Production Manager Assistant

Protecnium (protecnium.com/en) is an international consultancy specialised in engineering and technical services. We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer / Production Manager Assistant for a regasification terminal project for one of our clients in Germany. (100% onsite)

Estimated duration: 2 years – upon completion of the project, we aim to assign the employee to other projects to ensure continuity.

Required language and level: English – Upper Intermediate (B2) to Advanced (C1).

Mission

To accurately interpret the project and drawings and to monitor the daily execution of the works, ensuring that all construction units meet the objective conditions for acceptance.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site assistance to the Production Manager.
• Review the contract and documentation of the assigned projects, preparing sketches or detailed drawings to complement and clarify their execution.
• Perform quantity take‑offs for various project units, either from drawings or executed works, and prepare comprehensive measurement reports.
• Calculate and apply unit prices to assess and certify the project as a whole, maintaining administrative control of daily reports and necessary permits.
• Carry out inspection and testing tasks, documenting them to certify compliance with applicable standards.
• Identify and resolve non‑conformities related to elements, materials, equipment, or environmental impacts that do not meet the required specifications.
• Perform any other complementary tasks necessary for the proper execution of the assigned duties.

Requirements

• Education: Master’s or Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in civil works or building projects, preferably in concrete structures.
• Skills: Solid knowledge of plan interpretation, measurements, planning, and cost control. Experience in large‑scale projects or environments with certified quality and environmental management systems is a plus.

Working conditions

• 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday), from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (with one hour for lunch).
