Cloud Data Engineer (Remote - Portugal)

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize data solutions both on-premise and in the cloud. Accountabilities:

• Support the development and maintenance of reliable data platforms and architectures in agile projects.
• Collaborate on designing and implementing data solutions on-premise and in cloud environments under guidance from experienced colleagues.
• Build and optimize data pipelines, transforming data to meet business requirements.
• Integrate data from various systems to ensure consistency, accessibility, and quality.
• Work closely with Software Engineers and Cloud Architects within cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Requirements

• Practical experience and strong interest in Data Engineering and modern data architectures.
• Understanding of data quality importance and eagerness to learn about Data Strategy and Data Governance.
• Hands-on skills in Python, ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and SQL/NoSQL databases or data warehouses.
• Basic knowledge or exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and DevOps concepts, with motivation to deepen these skills.
• Interest or experience working with SaaS data platforms like Databricks or Snowflake.
• Experience ingesting data from various sources (APIs, databases) while ensuring high data quality.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and ability to present technical concepts clearly.
• Very good command of English and Portuguese (C1 level); German language skills are a plus but not required.
