Data Engineer (m/f/d) – Energy Management Platform

As Data Engineer at DHYBRID, you will work at the intersection of renewable energy, data, and cloud technology . You will help us integrate industrial systems, ensure data quality, and turn raw information into meaningful insights – enabling reliable and sustainable energy systems worldwide.

We are looking for candidates with professional experience in data engineering, ideally in industrial or energy-related environments.

Your Responsibilities

System Integration & Data Connectivity

• Connect field devices (industrial PCs) in project environments.
• Validate data points to ensure system reliability.
• Build dashboards, alerts, and reports in Grafana (on-prem and AWS).
• Support project teams with clear data visualisation and analysis.

Operations & User Management

• Manage users and access rights.
• Implement alert handling and backfill strategies.

Documentation & QA

• Maintain project and process documentation.

What We’re Looking For

Required Skills & Experience

• Education in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or Renewable Energy, or equivalent training.
• First experience with industrial protocols (OPC UA, Modbus TCP, MQTT).
• Confident in Grafana and database handling (InfluxDB, Telegraf).
• Practical knowledge of Linux/Windows and Python programming.
• Good command of German (B2+) and English (B2+).

Nice-to-Haves

• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud.
• Knowledge in data modelling and advanced database design.
• Broader industrial IoT / energy systems background.
• Additional languages are a plus in our international projects.
