Data Engineer Team Lead - €110,000 – Big Data, Java, NoSQL, Kubernetes, AWS

My client is building a new Data Management platform that is responsible for processing, storing, and serving data for core systems across the company. The successful candidate will be leading one of the data platform teams. It’s greenfield work within an international environment. The company sit within the AdTech domain and use their niche expertise to enable clients to better reach and understand audiences across screens.

What are the main responsibilities?

• Lead and mentor a data lake team within the data organization.
• Take responsibility for the team roadmap, team building and execution of SW projects in the group.
• End-to-end feature development and ownership, from design to production.
• Take part in building and designing the next generation of big data solutions.
• Research core technologies and integrations with external APIs and services.
• Communicate with various stakeholders: developers, product managers, business operations and customers.

What is needed? Prior experience in leading engineering teams and a strong data engineering background. Knowledge of SQL and NOSQL databases, Java and some of the following: Vertica/Hadoop/Spark/Kafka/MySQL
