In this role, you will work at the intersection of data science, machine learning, and software engineering to transform complex technical information into structured, actionable insights. You’ll design and deploy advanced AI/ML models, optimize workflows, and collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary teams to shape innovative solutions that support mission-critical projects. This is a hands-on position where your contributions will directly enhance digital engineering capabilities, improve automation, and strengthen decision-making across large-scale systems. The environment is collaborative, flexible, and forward-thinking—perfect for a professional who thrives on impact, continuous learning, and applied innovation.

    Accountabilities

    ·         Develop and deploy machine learning models to automate the extraction of structured data from unstructured documentation.

    ·         Curate and preprocess training datasets, ensuring consistency, quality, and scalability.

    ·         Implement and fine-tune transformer-based NLP models (e.g., BERT, GPT) for system design and technical document analysis.

    ·         Build, monitor, and optimize end-to-end ML pipelines, including ingestion, training, validation, and deployment.

    ·         Collaborate with systems engineers, software engineers, and domain experts to align data science initiatives with engineering goals.

    ·         Integrate models into operational tools and MBSE environments, supporting usability and user feedback loops.

    ·         Analyze model performance and apply statistical validation methods to ensure reliability and accuracy.

    ·         Stay current with AI/ML advancements and contribute to research and innovation initiatives.

    ·         Ensure compliance with secure code practices, data handling standards, and version control processes.

    Requirements

    ·         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, AI/ML, Software Engineering, Computational Science, or related field.

    ·         5+ years of relevant industry experience.

    ·         Proficiency in Python and R, with strong experience in libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.

    ·         Applied knowledge of deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and familiarity with Hugging Face Transformers.

    ·         Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, ETL pipelines, and data visualization tools (Matplotlib, Plotly, Tableau, Power BI, Streamlit).

    ·         Familiarity with software development lifecycle (Git, version control, model deployment, monitoring).

    ·         Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and semantic search (vector databases like Pinecone, Qdrant).

    ·         Knowledge of MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker) and digital engineering pipelines.

    ·         Active DoD Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain).

    ·         Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

    Benefits

    ·         Competitive annual salary between $130,000 and $150,000, based on experience.

    ·         100% company-paid insurance (medical, dental, vision) for eligible employees and their families.

    ·         100% company-paid life insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability coverage.

    ·         401(k) plan with employer matching.

    ·         Paid time off (PTO) and 10 paid holidays.

    ·         Educational assistance for continued learning and certifications.

    ·         Flexible schedule with some telework options (not fully remote due to security requirements).

    ·         Annual performance reviews, recognition programs, and excellence awards.

    ·         A supportive, family-oriented culture that values teamwork, collaboration, and professional growth.
