Stellenbeschreibung:
Be apart of a cutting-edge company rethinking electric drive systems for industrial-scale electrification across Europe. Their mission is to bring high-performance e-drive systems into scalable serial production at an affordable cost. No noise, no fluff—just smart, purposeful engineering. They're now looking for an Design Engineer to help drive the intelligence behind their electric propulsion systems. You’d be joining at a pivotal moment. Backed by three industry leaders from motorsport and corporate engineering, They're building a core team to take on some of the biggest electrification challenges. Over the next 12 to 24 months, they’re scaling rapidly, with software playing a central role in hitting the critical benchmarks that will unlock real market impact.
The culture is equally compelling:Curious minds only – this isn’t just another embedded role; it’s a chance to architect real-world transformation.Zero silos, high autonomy – ownership and trust are baked into the day-to-day.Signal over noise – no politics, just engineering with purpose.
About the OpportunityThis is a pioneering deep-tech engineering company revolutionising the landscape of electric drive systems. on a mission to make high-performance electrification scalable, affordable, and impactful across industries such as automotive, aerospace, maritime, and industrial energy. With a world-class team and proprietary hollow-conductor technology.
what electric drive systems can deliver:More efficient: enabling longer range and reduced energy lossMore compact: allowing for novel, aerodynamic design freedomUp to 50% cost reduction: making electric mobility viable for the massesThey aren't just developing breakthrough systems; it’s building a production-ready platform that can scale. To support this vision, they are hiring a Materials & Process Engineer who will play a pivotal role in transitioning the technology into industrialisation. Your Mission in the First 12 Months
This role is built for someone who is ready to take full ownership. objectives will include:Ability to take ownership from design through prototyping, including teardown and diagnostics.Full product lifecycle exposure and genuine impact in a small, high-growth engineering business.Hands-on role with both design and rapid prototyping responsibility; not just theoretical/desk-basedMulti-industry project variety, including marine, mining, advanced air mobility, agriculture, and defence.Growth path to subject matter expert or technical leadership as business scales – not a stagnant role.
What You Bring
You will thrive in this role if you are a curious, pragmatic engineer motivated by autonomy, complexity, and building systems from the ground up.
Preferred qualifications include:Electric motor inner system design for mobile applications required.Strong use of CAD (Inventor preferred, adaption from SolidWorks/Catia/NX is acceptable)Competency in technical drawings, geometric tolerancing (GD&T), and documentation for manufacturingExperience of rotating parts theory, including rotor modelling and high-precision/design for safety.Familiarity with sealing, hydraulic, and hairpin basket design (hairpin experience advantageous, not required)Broad mechanical engineering perspective – able to understand both mechanical and systems-level integration
