We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to manage, optimize, and scale cloud infrastructure in a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment. This role focuses on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, BigQuery logging, Terraform automation, FinOps dashboards, and backend orchestration. The ideal candidate will provide deep technical support to engineering teams, ensuring high performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. You will collaborate across teams to implement robust CI/CD pipelines, monitoring solutions, and infrastructure improvements while contributing to innovative AI and quantum technology projects. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, mission-driven environment where your contributions directly impact high-value systems and workflows.

Accountabilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable GCP infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.
• Optimize BigQuery and Kubernetes logging configurations for efficient data processing, analysis, and cost control.
• Develop and maintain FinOps dashboards to monitor cloud spending and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Provide hands-on technical support to developers, helping optimize workflows, troubleshoot complex issues, and improve development practices.
• Implement and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions for cloud services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues to maintain high availability, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with DevOps, IT, and InfoSec teams to enhance security, compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Participate in on-call rotations and document infrastructure designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Build interfaces and connections to operational and capacity planning software.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with strong expertise in cloud infrastructure and developer support.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services (BigQuery, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM).
• Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Experience with FinOps practices and cloud cost management tools (e.g., CloudZero).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and CI/CD automation (GitHub, CircleCI).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Grafana, Prometheus).
• Strong understanding of networking principles and security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, collaboration, and communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with backend orchestration tools (Apache Airflow).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Exposure to other cloud providers (AWS, Azure).
• Experience managing regulated data and ensuring compliance.
