In this leadership role, you will guide a team of scientific experts responsible for delivering cutting-edge medical insights to specialty practices and building trusted relationships with healthcare leaders nationwide. You will play a pivotal role in shaping strategic initiatives that support specialty physician practices and biopharma partners, ensuring alignment with emerging therapies, clinical trials, and precision medicine advancements. This position offers the opportunity to combine strategic vision with hands-on leadership, while driving impactful scientific communications, strengthening industry partnerships, and advancing innovation in oncology and other specialty fields.

Accountabilities

• Lead and manage a national team of Scientific Liaisons, setting annual strategies and objectives aligned with broader organizational goals.
• Direct scientific exchange and education efforts, ensuring compliant delivery of current and emerging therapeutic information.
• Oversee the development of strong relationships with specialty practices, enabling the sharing of insights and clinical trial facilitation.
• Maintain expertise in oncology and other relevant specialty areas, staying at the forefront of precision medicine and clinical research.
• Represent the organization at scientific conferences, engaging with key physician leaders and biopharma partners.
• Drive collaboration across cross-functional teams, ensuring scientific and educational support is consistently provided.
• Monitor team performance, coach and mentor staff, and foster a culture of accountability and innovation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 6+ years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison, Diagnostic Liaison, Outcomes Liaison, or similar role in the biopharma industry.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing remote, field-based liaison teams.
• Deep expertise in oncology with knowledge of precision medicine testing and clinical research.
• Strong track record of building and maintaining credible physician/HCP relationships nationwide.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks including PhRMA, OIG, and industry standards.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and present complex medical information clearly.
• Strong leadership, project management, and strategic planning skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
