Electrical Engineer

Our client are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Northern Germany. In this role you will be responsible for the the validation of wind turbine prototypes, including Fault Ride-Through (FRT) Testing, power quality measurements and medium-voltage systems. With significant involvement in prototype testing and validation, the successful candidate will play a vital role in improving turbine performance, supporting international teams, and driving forward the future of sustainable energy.

Salary: Circa €70,000

Essential:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferably Energy Technology)
• Experience in wind energy, energy supply, or grid integration
• Strong knowledge of Fault Ride-Through (FRT) testing, power quality, and medium-voltage systems
• Proficiency with measurement tools (e.g. FAMOS)
• Strong German & English communication skills
• Willingness to travel (approx. 50% in Northern Germany)

Desirable:

• Familiarity with IEC 61400-21-1 / FGW TR3 standards
• Hands-on experience with medium-voltage switchgear and systems
• Practical experience in prototype validation and field testing
