Job Overview

For our Energy department based in Ottobrunn/Munich, Germany, we are looking for an Employee (m/f/d) in the Field Application Engineering Team – ELECTRICS.

This position is home-office based.

The Field Application Engineers (m/f/d) (FAE) support the business development of the Energy product range in their area through direct contact with sales partners and key customers, supporting the local sales team on specific projects. They provide business and technical information to customers and the product management team. As part of the BU Energy, the FAE will market Electrical, LV/MV/HV accessories, products, and application solutions. They will work with a wide range of customers, including utilities, energy suppliers, industrial clients, and distributors.

Territory to cover: North/West Germany

Your Responsibilities:

Cultivate / Manage Relationships:

• Maintain trusting relationships between the customer and TE.
• Build customer partnerships by demonstrating a strong value proposition.

Demand Creation:

• Advise key customers to incorporate TE Electrical products into their specifications and bill of materials.
• Support new product introductions through promotion and communication campaigns.
• Design-in at customers, which includes:
• Identifying customer needs early.
• Gathering all necessary information for design input.
• Acting as the interface between TE teams, product management, account managers, and customers.
• Maintaining continuous contact with customers and reporting feedback internally.

Market Intelligence:

• Understand the competitive landscape of TE's product lines in LV/MV/HV cable accessories, street lighting, potting materials, and connection technologies.
• Support market observations for the development and positioning of TE products in various energy sectors.

What your background should look like:

• Technical training (e.g., fitter with at least 5 years of experience, master craftsman, technician).
• Experience with cable accessories in low/medium/high voltage energy supply sectors.
• Experience with application solutions in secondary technology such as switchgear and station construction.
• Respectful interaction with different customer hierarchies.
• Negotiation skills with technical decision-makers in the energy supply sector are advantageous.
• Knowledge or ability to learn relevant market standards and requirements.
• Familiarity with TE Energy products and competitors.
• High self-motivation and ability to work independently under pressure.
• Fluent in German and English (oral and written).
• Good PC skills (MS Office).
• Willingness to travel.
