We are currently looking for a Sales Support and Development Specialist to work from your home office. You will be responsible for supporting and further developing our customers in parts of Hessen, southern North Rhine-Westphalia, and northern Rhineland-Palatinate in this strategically important sales position. As a specialist, you will sell our entire product portfolio and develop our sales area by maintaining existing customer contacts in engineering and manufacturing departments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Pre-sales support, analyzing target groups, and identifying customer needs
  • Managing budget and profit within the sales territory
  • Acquiring new customers and expanding existing contacts in the electronics industry
  • Responding to customer inquiries and developing technical solutions with the Samtec product range
  • Representing the company and products at trade fairs and industry events
  • Planning and executing workshops, tech days, and webinars for key accounts
  • Collaborating with the inside sales team to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Reporting sales activities regularly to management
  • Maintaining customer master data independently
  • Supporting distribution partners in the sales area

Qualifications include:

  • A degree in electrical engineering, business administration, or a comparable field
  • Several years of experience in a similar, possibly technical sales role (advantageous but not mandatory)
  • Knowledge in electromechanics or semiconductor technology (desirable but not essential); extensive product training provided
  • Fluent German and good English skills
  • A valid driver's license
  • Willingness to regularly visit sales representatives in the sales area
  • Residence within the sales area
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • A hands-on mentality
  • Enthusiasm, commitment, and analytical thinking
  • A well-groomed appearance and friendly demeanor
  • Strong social skills and ability to work in a team
