The Fleet Controller oversees the fleet operated by the company and is responsible for the health and performance of vehicles in the city. This role is a key member of the local fleet operations team dedicated to providing riders with excellent service. The Fleet Controller will lead local monitoring, deployment, and collection of scooters within the city, ensuring their availability nearby.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring world-class fleet operations within the city.
  • Mastering the KIWIride mobile application for Android and iOS, the KIWI staff mobile application, and Fleet Management Systems which are the main tools in operating the business.
  • Tracking and monitoring fleet metrics using internal tools to ensure deployment, collection, and overall fleet activities are achieved.
  • Working with and supporting the team, including strategic operations and fleet operations.
  • Communicating effectively with the Head Fleet Dispatcher for successful implementation of the plan.
  • Attending group meetings, sharing work status and related concerns for the improvement of the operations team.
  • Generating reports to assess operations status and making recommendations for continuous improvement contributing to the expansion and profits of the business.
  • Managing fleet count correctly by updating the scooter details log daily and sharing key members' scooter inventory in the warehouse, ensuring correct asset count.
  • Planning and leading Drivers and Helpers regarding delivery, deployment, collection, and recovery.
  • Updating and maintaining important documents regarding the fleet.
  • Making decisions tactfully should challenges arise.

Our preferred candidate will have:

  • A college degree, preferably in BS Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
  • Ideally, a minimum of 3 years of work experience in fleet management as well as managing teams.
  • The ability to prioritize workload and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment, initiative, and tactful communication skills while dealing with critical information.
  • The ability to lead team members.
  • A team player who thinks analytically and uses a data-driven mentality in making decisions.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours and be 'on call' in support of operations.
  • The ability to adapt easily to changing priorities.
  • A strong work ethic with a professional, positive attitude.
  • Mechanical and logistical savvy, with a willingness to learn quickly and troubleshoot operational problems efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • An innovative, goal-oriented, and results-driven approach.
