Founding Engineer (Full Stack or Backend – TypeScript)
Berlin (Hybrid) | AI Startup | 6-Figure ARR in Year One

I'm working with a seed-stage AI startup based in Berlin, with real customers and revenue in place already. Having hit six-figure ARR within their first year, they have a clear plan in place to scale and are now looking for a further Founding Engineer to join their existing team.

What You'll Do:

• Build and scale key product features using TypeScript, Next.js, and modern backend tools like Node.js, tRPC, and PostgreSQL
• Lead on system design, architecture, and code quality
• Work closely with the founders to shape product direction and influence technical and hiring decisions
• Focus across the stack or lean backend, depending on your strengths

What We’re Looking For:

• A strong academic background, ideally with a Computer Science degree from a top-tier university
• 2-3 years of experience shipping production systems, preferably in high-growth or startup environments
• Solid experience with the TypeScript ecosystem, backend development, APIs, databases, and cloud platforms.
• Someone comfortable with fast-moving environments, ambiguity, and real ownership
