Project Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP FI Consultant (freelancer) to support ongoing SAP S / 4HANA Finance transformation projects. The role involves leading project workstreams, driving solution design, and ensuring high-quality delivery across finance processes. This position requires strong hands-on expertise in SAP FI and the ability to collaborate closely with international project teams and key business stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and execute SAP S / 4HANA Finance projects from requirements analysis through testing and go-live.
• Design and implement future-ready solutions in areas such as General Ledger, Asset Accounting, Accounts Payable / Receivable, Payments, Closing Processes, and Reporting.
• Ensure end-to-end process integration with related modules including CO, MM, and SD.
• Contribute innovative ideas leveraging Embedded Analytics, SAP Fiori, RPA, and Machine Learning.
• Support finance transformation initiatives, migrations, and optimization of financial structures.

Your Profile

• University degree in Finance, IT, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of SAP Finance (FI) consulting experience, ideally within S / 4HANA environments.
• In-depth knowledge of General Ledger, AP / AR, Asset Accounting, and Payment Processes.
• Understanding of FI-CO integration and related cross-module dependencies.
• Experience working in SAP Cloud environments, ideally S / 4HANA Public Cloud.
• Strong communication skills in German and English.
• Willingness to travel (onsite work is mandatory, approx. 60%).
• Hands-on mentality and ability to work independently as a trusted expert within client teams.
