Responsibilities

• Scope: Full responsibility for all accounting activities for Business Line Marl / Wesseling, including subsidiaries.
• Accounting / Financial Statements: Ensure proper accounting, prepare, and analyze financial statements in accordance with IFRS, HGB, and EnWG.
• ICS: Implement and monitor internal control systems to ensure compliance and risk management.
• Cooperation: Coordinate between the accounting departments of Marl / Wesseling and the Function Accounting team, and work closely with the tax department.
• Contact Person: Main contact for internal and external stakeholders such as auditors, and oversee the development of the accounting team.
• Accounting Issues: Provide targeted advice and structuring of accounting issues.
• Process Optimization: Continuously optimize internal procedures and processes.

Requirements

• Education: Degree in economics, focusing on accounting, auditing, taxation, controlling, or similar; passing the auditor exam is advantageous.
• Professional Experience: Several years in a managerial role in accounting or auditing (experience as an auditor preferred).
• Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of IFRS, HGB, EnWG, tax law, and financial processes, including IT tools like SAP finance modules and MS Office.
• Languages: Excellent written and spoken German and English.
• Personal Skills: Goal-oriented, cooperative, strong communication skills, able to work under pressure, flexible, and proactive.
