In HSE you will focus on innovative processes and services that are sustainable by design, commit to improving our environmental footprint and guide our employees to achieve our zero-accident goal by providing a safe, healthy and inclusive workplace.**Job Overview**Management and monitoring of compliance with legal regulations, technical requirements, and strategic corporate policies, as well as the development of strategies and objectives related to health, occupational and operational safety, and environmental protection, to ensure the production of APIs at the Frankfurt site in close collaboration with the global HSE department.**Your Responsibilities*** Management of the HSE Department at the site, including budget and resource planning* Definition of safety and environmental parameters for investment decisions* Planning, coordination, and development of all HSE activities, ensuring appropriate and legally compliant support of the site’s units by HSE professionals* Internal expert consultation on plant safety concepts, work equipment, substances, hazard prevention, and permit procedures* Prevention and analysis of workplace accidents, near misses, and occupational illnesses* Promoting and further developing the HSE and safety culture at the site* Organization of workplace-related risk assessments and safety evaluations* Monitoring of fire and explosion protection* Emergency management and security coordination* HSE monitoring, inspections and audits* Maintenance, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the HSE management system* Contact point for authorities and* Support in feasibility studies.**Our Requirements**Qualification, Technical Skills and Industry ExperienceMaster's degree or diploma in (chemical) engineering, safety management, chemistry, or a related field.8+ years of professional experience in HSE management within the chemical or biochemical production of APIs, ideally in a leadership role. Alternatively, experience in a leadership position within engineering or industrial production in a chemical-biotechnological environment.Strong leadership personality with excellent communication skills and a confident, assertive presence.Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.Legally required qualification:Safety Specialist as per the Occupational Safety Act (ASiG).
