As the Head of Technical Account Management, you will lead a global team responsible for delivering seamless client onboarding and integrations. This role combines strategic leadership, technical expertise, and customer advocacy to ensure clients maximize the value of their platform. You will shape the team’s strategy, processes, and standards while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture across multiple regions. Working closely with post-sales, product, and engineering teams, you will drive technical excellence, enhance customer satisfaction, and identify opportunities for growth. Success in this role requires a blend of problem-solving, relationship-building, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable solutions.
Accountabilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a distributed Technical Account Management team across AMER, EMEA, and APAC regions.
- Define, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for team performance, client onboarding, and technical support metrics.
- Optimize TAM processes, tools, and documentation to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex technical client issues, ensuring timely resolution and satisfaction.
- Develop programs for proactive technical guidance, best practice sharing, and strategic engagement with clients.
- Champion client retention and identify growth opportunities through demonstrating technical value.
- Advocate for clients internally by translating feedback into actionable insights for product and engineering teams.
- Build and maintain deep relationships with key stakeholders, collaborating across internal teams to drive client success.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in client-facing technical roles, including 5+ years leading and scaling Technical Account Management or similar teams in enterprise SaaS or cloud environments.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Strong technical foundation with experience in APIs (REST, SOAP, OAuth, JSON/XML), integration platforms (Workato, Mulesoft, Zapier), and middleware tools.
- Hands-on experience writing or reviewing integration code in Python, JavaScript (Node.js), or Java.
- Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills with a data-driven approach to solving complex technical challenges.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and executive audiences.
- Collaborative mindset, working effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to foster trust, navigate change, and drive team and client success.
