HSSE Director & Asset Risk

Responsibilities

• Lead the HSSE & Asset Risk team (currently 5 direct reports, ~ 60 colleagues in total) to ensure safe, secure and healthy working conditions and procedures for all colleagues and business partners globally.
• Establish and maintain HSSE policies, standards and procedures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Ensure safety and security by design.
• Develop and maintain systems and tools to report and analyze HSSE incidents and asset risks.
• Execute HSSE programs to drive a global HSSE-oriented culture within RWE Offshore Wind.
• Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees and contractors on HSSE policies, procedures and regulations.
• Assess and actively manage asset risk.
• Manage environmental risks and support the delivery of RWE’s sustainability strategy.
• Manage physical security of our employees and assets globally.
• Represent RWE Offshore Wind on HSSE matters in industry forums and associations e.g. G+.
• Head the Central Crisis Management Team for RWE Offshore Wind in case of a crisis.

Profile

• University degree in occupational health and safety, renewable energy, engineering or equivalent.
• Strong experience in health, safety and environmental management, with at least 5+ years of proven experience working directly on offshore wind projects.
• Proven experience in team management and leadership roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Experience with HSE leadership training and behavioural safety techniques.
