Barrington James’s specialist Software & Electronics Division is currently searching for an IT Engineer/Manager with strong User Support knowledge, as well as brief Software/Hardware experience.




(This opportunity is hybrid, 4 days a week on site, 1 days at home)

Requirements


Essential
• Familiarity with IT/OT integration in production environments
• Several years of professional experience in IT, ideally within a manufacturing environment
• Strong expertise in IT infrastructure, networking, and Windows server/client environments
• Independent, solution-oriented working style with a strong hands-on mentality
• Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken


Desirable
• Experience administering and optimizing ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
• Knowledge of programming, data analysis, and automation tools (e.g., RPA, PowerAutomate, Power BI)
• Degree or completed vocational training in IT, business informatics, or a comparable field


Responsibilities
• Maintain IT infrastructure and ensure system availability
• Provide user support and manage hardware/software
• Administer ERP/MES systems and drive digitalization projects
• Coordinate with global IT teams and support cross-site initiatives
• Implement IT security and compliance measures
