Overview

Junior European Equity Sales Trader (f/m/x) at Deutsche Bank. Position overview: Equity Distribution is part of the Origination & Advisory (O&A) division of Deutsche Bank’s Investment Bank, working closely with the wider franchise. This cross-European sales trading role focuses on joining forces with the Frankfurt Sales Trading team, managing and winning the execution of equity order flow from our European institutional client base, and reporting to the Head of Sales Trading in Frankfurt.

The role is critical to service and develop the existing business and increase capacities in Frankfurt. The Sales Trader will also work with the broader Equity Distribution franchise including the UK & US Sales-Trading & Trading teams as well as the Pan-European & UK Sales teams in support of the broader IB Franchise.

Responsibilities

• Execute trades efficiently, mainly focusing on high-touch execution to maximize revenue potential.
• Provide timely market and stock-specific insights to equity trading desks and their Portfolio Managers.
• Grow the Deutsche Bank client base across Europe.
• Participate in the Primary Issuance process – IPOs and Advanced Book Builds.
• Travel to meet new and existing clients to strengthen and develop business opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience on a High Touch Equity dealing desk, with an existing client base across Europe.
• Relevant academic degree from an internationally renowned university.
• Comprehensive experience of European dealing principles, trading dynamics & market structure, including crosses and liquidity search.
• Experience working in an international environment; existing European equity dealing client accounts are a plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset; KYC & onboarding expertise is a plus.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with clear understanding of fundamentals and market regulations.
• Staying abreast of market news and trends; fluent English & German; a third European language is a benefit.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; strong relationship-building skills.
• IT/AI knowledge in a Microsoft environment; Excel programming skills are a plus.
