Overview

AI Futures have been retained to find a Lead Data Scientist for a major European healthcare organisation building next-generation AI systems to improve the health and well-being of millions. The organisation is evolving into a data-driven digital enterprise, combining advanced analytics with a deep social mission to make healthcare smarter, fairer, and more sustainable.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role within the organisation’s AI division, shaping the foundation of data-driven innovation and driving AI solutions that deliver measurable value and impact.

The Role

Lead the technical design and delivery of end-to-end AI products across ML, GenAI, and Agentic AI.
Translate governance and compliance requirements into robust, auditable technical solutions.
Define and implement data architectures, model strategies, and MLOps best practices.
Ensure reproducibility, explainability, and monitoring across the AI lifecycle.
Align AI initiatives with business KPIs, continuously validating impact and value creation.
Collaborate cross-functionally to build reusable data products and scalable cloud services (AWS).

The Candidate

5+ years of experience developing and deploying ML and GenAI models in production.
Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field.
Expertise in Python, SQL, and cloud environments (AWS preferred).
Strong grounding in MLOps, CI/CD, and model lifecycle management.
Experience with ML and LLM frameworks (PyTorch, scikit-learn, Hugging Face etc…)
Languages: German (English a plus).
