🚨 Lead/Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Build it from the Ground Up | €80k–120k | Remote (Germany)

We’re working with a fast-growing tech company that's doing things differently. They’re owning their entire infrastructure stack (including spinning up their own data centers, hardware, and dev environments). The goal? Total control, high performance, and a foundation built for serious scale.




They’ve already got a rock-solid Senior SRE onboard and now need their first dedicated Infrastructure Engineer – someone technical enough to spar with the SRE and strategic enough to help shape and scale the infra team over time.




🔧 What You’ll Be Doing

• Building and managing the infrastructure layer for a self-hosted dev environment
• Working with bare metal, OpenStack, Metal-as-a-Service, and networking components
• Collaborating closely with the SRE to define best practices, drive architecture decisions, and eventually help grow the team
• Potential future involvement in launching additional data center locations
• Bonus if you’ve worked with Ceph for storage management – not essential, but very nice to have



🧠 What They’re Looking For

• A strong technical engineer who can work independently and own infrastructure pieces
• Someone excited by building systems from the ground up
• Ability to contribute to architecture, networking, and bare metal provisioning
• Based anywhere in Germany (some team in Karlsruhe, Munich, Berlin, remote-friendly setup)
• English-speaking environment



💰 Salary & Perks

• Up to €120,000 depending on experience and leadership potential
