    This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Hopin. We are currently looking for a Majors Expansion Account Manager, Public Sector in North Carolina.

    This role offers an exciting opportunity for a results-driven sales professional to manage and expand relationships within a portfolio of public sector accounts. You will engage with state and local government, K-12, and higher education clients, navigating complex procurement processes and long sales cycles. The position emphasizes consultative B2B solution selling, account growth, and upselling services while providing exceptional customer experience. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, understand their priorities, and strategically expand the adoption of cloud-based communications and collaboration solutions. The role provides autonomy, collaborative teamwork, and the chance to impact the delivery of innovative technology solutions across multiple public sector sub-verticals.

    Accountabilities:

    • Manage a portfolio of 200+ public sector accounts, driving revenue growth through upsell and expansion opportunities.
    • Serve as the trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business priorities, technology needs, and unique public sector requirements.
    • Navigate complex procurement processes, long sales cycles, and multiple stakeholders to influence purchasing decisions.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver effective account strategies and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Leverage consultative selling techniques to identify, qualify, and close opportunities within assigned accounts.
    • Represent the organization at conferences, industry events, and customer meetings to promote solutions and thought leadership.

    Requirements

    • 2-3 years of B2B upmarket sales experience, preferably in the technology sector.
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
    • Experience targeting state and local government, K-12 schools, and higher education institutions.
    • Strong consultative selling skills and ability to manage complex sales cycles.
    • Ability to provide exceptional customer service, both virtually and in-person.
    • Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and problem-solving skills to deliver client value.
    • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
