What We Expect

As an Application Manager in our CORE Team SAP FI-CO Cluster, you will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing our finance-related SAP applications. Your responsibilities will include overseeing master data governance, supporting global finance processes, and ensuring smooth SAP deployments. You will collaborate closely with the Accounting Excellence team and other stakeholders to manage financial structures and improve system performance.

Governance & System Management

• Maintain and oversee the Chart of Accounts (CoA) in collaboration with the Accounting Excellence Department.
• Define and manage accounts in the master data governance system (GMDS) and ensure correct mapping to SAP accounts.
• Set up and manage new companies, cost centers, profit centers, and hierarchies in GMDS.
• Ensure correct configuration and maintenance of Financial Statement Versions (IFRS and country-specific).
• Govern changes to internal business partners and other sensitive financial data.

Deployment & Project Support

• Provide expertise during SAP project phases, ensuring governance standards are upheld.
• Support teams after Go-Live, assisting with stabilization, improvements, and training for finance users.
• Assist in system optimization and issue resolution in finance applications.

Finance Process Optimization & Training

• Support month-end closing activities and troubleshoot reporting issues in SAP.
• Conduct training sessions to enable local teams to effectively use SAP solutions.
• Collaborate with the consolidation team to evaluate new requirements and their impact on the ERP system.

Who we are looking for

• SAP Expert: Strong expertise in SAP FI-CO, with several years of experience as an SAP consultant; familiarity with logistics modules (MM, SD, PS, PP) is a plus. Experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly valued.
• Finance & Project Management Background: Solid understanding of finance-controlling processes, with hands-on experience in a corporate finance role. Knowledge in project management and global steering of Core Finance.
• Analytical Thinker: Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
• Strong Communicator: Capable of explaining technical topics clearly and supporting non-technical stakeholders.
• Decisive & Proactive: Able to challenge business requests and provide guidance on best practices.
• Languages: English is mandatory; German is a plus.
