Job Description

We are looking for an Engineering Manager, Java/Kotlin – (Logistics, Workforce) to join our Logistics Workforce Tribe. You will lead a squad that directly impacts rider experience and last‑mile delivery efficiency across the globe.

Responsibilities

Lead technical direction for your squad, partnering with product to design feasible and iterative solutions.
Own team tech metrics and KPIs, ensuring full visibility, tracking and alerting.
Enhance incident resolution and on‑call processes to maintain high service reliability.
Mentor junior engineers, providing both technical and non‑technical guidance.
Navigate cross‑functional stakeholders (Backend, Frontend, Data Science, Operations, Analytics) and manage dependencies across teams.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Kotlin/JVM and architecture‑agnostic programming concepts.
Experience with API‑based (HTTP, gRPC) and event‑based (Kafka, SNS/SQS) communication.
Pragmatic mindset: focus on what needs to be delivered and how to do it efficiently.
At least 2 years of senior engineering leadership experience aligned with product and business goals.
Hands‑on experience with IaaC—Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform on AWS.
Commitment to team growth and personal development.

Experience leveraging data science models to drive product decisions.
Background in food delivery, ride‑hailing or similar gig‑economy companies.
