Microsoft is investing significantly in cybersecurity to provide integrated solutions across identities, endpoints, apps, emails, docs, and clouds. The team is composed of global security experts and cutting-edge AI-based security innovations. The position is located in Germany with a German Security Solution Engineering team, and Microsoft values diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Win the technical decision for customers to purchase and use Microsoft Security solutions, including Microsoft 365 Defender, Defender for Cloud, and Sentinel.
• Collaborate with a virtual team of technical, partner, and consulting resources to educate customers, demonstrate solutions, and drive technical wins to meet quarterly security sales/usage targets.
• Maintain and develop deep technical expertise across Microsoft and non-Microsoft cloud security solutions, architectures, programs, and technologies.
• Engage with customers proactively, build credibility as a trusted security advisor, and leverage customer references.
• Engage in partner sell-with scenarios and support partner technical capacity.
• Contribute to Microsoft Security strategy, tailor messaging, and develop strategies for extended detection and response (XDR), zero trust, and cloud security.
• Design and demonstrate architecture patterns, prove capabilities, and ensure integration into the customer environment; coach teams on digital transformation and aligning new technology with security needs.

Qualifications

• Significant technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
• OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND proven technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
• OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND demonstrable technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English and German

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Cybersecurity
• Experience with cloud and hybrid or on-premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management
• Certification in relevant technologies or disciplines (e.g., Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect and Development, Cloud Platform Technologies, Information Security, Architecture)
