    As a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead and inspire engineering teams building mission-critical software, ensuring high-quality delivery while fostering a people-first culture. You will oversee the full software development lifecycle, aligning technical execution with strategic objectives, and collaborating closely with product, architecture, and business leaders. Your focus will be on driving engineering excellence, enabling innovation, and maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable systems. This role combines technical leadership with mentorship, empowering engineers to deliver impactful solutions that directly benefit users and drive business success.

    Accountabilities:

    • Lead and manage distributed engineering teams, overseeing technical execution and fostering high performance.
    • Align engineering objectives with strategic initiatives, ensuring projects meet quality, security, and compliance standards.
    • Support hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and career development to attract and retain top engineering talent.
    • Establish and enforce standards for software engineering, quality assurance, and project delivery.
    • Partner with Product and UX teams to deliver customer-centric solutions that align with business goals.
    • Monitor project scope, risks, forecasts, and budgets to ensure successful delivery.
    • Promote DevOps best practices, continuous integration/deployment, and test-driven development.
    • Drive a culture of collaboration, ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement across teams.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
    • 7+ years of progressive software development experience, with 1+ years in people management.
    • Proven success leading distributed or hybrid engineering teams at scale.
    • Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD practices.
    • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and consensus-building skills across cross-functional teams.
    • Strategic and analytical thinker capable of balancing technical debt, innovation, and delivery.
    • Passionate about people development, organizational growth, and creating a collaborative team environment.
    • Adaptable, proactive, and committed to high standards of quality, integrity, and continuous improvement.
    • Familiarity with technologies such as C, C#, C++, .Net, WinForms, WPF, WinUI, MS SQL Server, GitLab, Jira; experience with REST APIs, Java, and AWS is a plus.
