Online Associate (Adjunct) Faculty - Psychology Doctoral Chair

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of The University of Arizona Global Campus. We are currently looking for an Online Associate (Adjunct) Faculty – Psychology Doctoral Chair in the United States.

This part-time, remote teaching role offers the opportunity to lead and support doctoral psychology students through their Applied Doctoral Project journey. As a doctoral chair, you will guide students through critical research milestones, provide constructive feedback, and foster an engaging and rigorous online learning environment. This position combines instructional responsibilities with mentorship and collaboration with committee members to ensure student success. It’s ideal for experienced psychology professionals passionate about higher education and student development in a flexible, online setting.

Accountabilities:

• Facilitate and engage in online classroom discussions, grade assignments, and respond promptly to student inquiries.
• Guide PsyD and/or PhD students through their Applied Doctoral Project milestones, including proposal development, IRB applications, research, and manuscript finalization.
• Act as project manager for doctoral research, supporting students in goal-setting, timeline management, and collaboration with committee members.
• Provide weekly feedback on assignments and facilitate critical thinking and constructive dialogue in the online classroom.
• Moderate Preliminary and Final Oral Defenses and follow up with students post-defense.
• Collaborate with university departments to support student success and maintain accurate records.
• Participate in professional development activities related to online teaching effectiveness.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in psychology or a related field.
• Eligibility to work and residency in the United States.
• Reliable internet connection and computer with video capabilities.
• Experience working or teaching in an online environment, preferably at the doctoral level.
• Strong commitment to fostering student engagement and success through constructive feedback and mentoring.
• Preferred: Knowledge in General Education, Health, Sports Psychology, or Criminal Justice.
• Preferred: Documented success guiding online doctoral students to graduation.
